Ages

Open to 1st and 2nd graders who live or attend school in Greenwich.

Cost

$250

2025 Season Dates

The season runs from August 25-November 16th.

Games will be played on Sundays at 8 & 9am at Greenwich High School.

A game schedule will be created in August once registration is complete and we have determined the number of flag teams competing this season.

Practices

Practices will be held on Tuesday, Thursday, or Friday. Practice times will vary by team. Flag Practice schedules will be sent out in August.

Scholarship Information

Greenwich Youth Football League (GYFL) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization committed to providing youth in Greenwich, Connecticut, with opportunities to learn and play the sport of football. We believe financial challenges should never prevent a child from participating in our football program. To ensure accessibility, GYFL offers financial assistance when possible to families in need.

To request assistance, please send a brief email outlining your circumstances to GreenwichYouthFootballLeague@gmail.com All requests will be handled with strict confidentiality and reviewed promptly by our scholarship committee.

These three forms of verification are acceptable:

Proof of income from prior tax year (2024) First two pages of the signed 1040 tax forms.
Government-issued letter or receipt of public assistance
Proof and free or reduced lunch status

Your request will be reviewed and the GYFL will reach out to you shortly with a decision, provided the request is received during the program’s registration period.

Scholarship requests MUST be submitted by July 1st.
